1. Provider and scope
Visual Learner is provided by Splitlight Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16318475, with its registered office at Silverstream House, 45 Fitzroy Street, London, England, W1T 6EB, United Kingdom. Contact support@splitlight.co.uk. These terms describe use of the Visual Learner app and website. Apple’s applicable App Store, software-licence and TestFlight terms also govern distribution through its services.
2. The current service
The current beta includes one illustrated story in English, Polish and French, picture vocabulary, device speech, saved words and a reading bookmark. It is offered for testing and feedback. Features, content, availability and compatibility may change as the app develops. A beta build may contain errors or expire through TestFlight.
There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases in the current beta. Any future paid offering will have its price and applicable terms disclosed before purchase. No purchase or future paid commitment is required to send beta feedback.
3. Using the app and website
You may use the app and website for lawful personal learning, evaluation and reading together, subject to applicable distribution and licence terms. Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, misrepresent affiliation with Splitlight, or redistribute the app or its content without permission except where permitted by law.
Text, illustrations, design and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights belonging to Splitlight or their respective rights holders. Access to the service does not transfer ownership of those rights.
4. Learning content and feedback
The story is a learning aid, not a complete language course or a guarantee of learning outcomes. Translations and system-generated pronunciation may need correction, particularly during the beta. Tell us if you find an issue so we can improve it.
When you voluntarily send feedback, we may use your suggestions to improve Visual Learner. Do not send confidential material you are not entitled to share. Personal information in feedback is handled as described in our privacy policy.
5. Children and adult involvement
Adults should manage invitations, device installation and contact with support for children. The app does not require a child’s account or profile. Parents and carers should decide whether the story and beta experience are suitable for the reader.
6. Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful and reliable experience, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device setting, or that a beta is free of errors. Keep appropriate device backups. External links lead to services with their own terms and privacy practices.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing removes statutory consumer rights. Any other responsibility is determined under applicable law.
7. Updates and questions
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated where required; changes do not remove rights already acquired. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without depriving consumers elsewhere of mandatory protections or access to courts available under applicable law.
For any question, contact support@splitlight.co.uk or write to the registered office above.
